Back shells and connectors :
They are made of the highest grade aluminium alloy which
provides an excellent reliability and robustness. The
monopiece back shell offers an even more robust option.
Inserts :
- The solder contact inserts are made of Alkyde (hard
plastic).
- The shape of the inserts was redesigned by end of 2001
to ban “spin out/spinner” risk
- The crimp contact inserts
are made of neoprene (soft rubber).

| RJ Switch : RJ-Switch, Ethernet Switch for Industrial and Military applications in harsh environment |
 |
|

| RJ-Switch
combines state of the art networking
features with cost effectiveness.
This rugged and waterproof
Ethernet Switch can withstand
extreme conditions : low and
high temperatures (-40°C
to + 75°C), shocks & vibrations,
dust or sand as well as liquid
immersion. The Versatile Switch
electronic circuits can be
protected from the environment
by an IP 30 casing, a sealed
waterproof IP 67 reinforced
polyester enclosure, or a full
metal IP67 enclosure providing
sealing as well as efficient
EMI-RFI shielding. |
|
The I/O connectors are from the
RJ FIELD ® series (Amphenol
unique, cost effective and Patented
RJ stop® connection system
turning any standard RJ45 into
rugged IP67 reinforced interface)
proven to be the best interface
solutions for use of the RJ Switch
in Harsh Environments&
Key Features of the RJ Switch® Series:
A wide choice is proposed from
truly Plug'n Play unmanaged versions
to Elite managed switches. A
Ring version mix Plug'n Play
simplicity with high management
features such as QoS (Quality
of Service).
The managed versions offers such
advanced administration features
as : fast redundant ring topology,
automatic alarm via relay output
or e-mail, management via web interface
or telnet interface, network parameter
management, port mirroring.
The ELITE managed versions adds
following features : IGMP snooping,
VLAN, QoS , Port locking , 2 digital
inputs, and more &. With such
features Real-Time communication
is assured, the network traffic
is improved, the maximum bandwidth
is available for each link and
critical messages are set up to
higher priority.
The RJ Switch range is the largest
in the market in terms of levels
of protection and administration
options&
The RJ Switch series are the most
versatile and reliable solutions
for Real-Time Ethernet Networking
in the fields of factory automation,
robotics, process control, transportation
systems.
